About us
An Elderly Residential Home With Country Flair.
|
Porch Wall |
When your parents were growing up, more than likely
they lived in the country and the family took care of each other. Your
parents took care of your grandparents and your grandparents took care
of your great grandparents. Nursing homes were not very popular as the
idea wasn't really very likeable. Today things have changed and people
are looking back to some bygone days when family was family and family
took care of family... Kennedy Bunk House is a family taking care of
family again. When we bring your loved one into our home they are
treated like family, and we do things together as a family.
An interesting lifestyle we love to live and live to share. |

Front Yard and Garden |
Living in the Country is a life worth living yet we
are only 20 minutes from downtown Fort Worth , Texas. The best of both
worlds you could say... ah what a life...We are country people and we do
a lot of country living. Horses , chickens, goats and cows are all a
part of what we do. We allow our resident family members to enjoy this
with us. We set up a horse shoe pitching set for one of our residents
and daily pitched with him. Another resident sits in a rocker on the
screened in front porch when the weather permits. Our home is a magnet
for the children and grandchildren and the residents always enjoy the
action that comes our way.

The Kitchen |
It's amazing to see the broad smile of the 86 year old as
she puts her arms out to play with our 18 month old granddaughter when
they share cookies and a sippie cup of juice. Or see them with the books
they share as they sit side by side. Even more so exiciting for us is
the delight of the 89 year old as he proudly makes corn bread for
supper - yes, it was delicious. The residents truly enjoy the times we
walk out to see the animals. We love the times spent with our residents;
like the time the 80 year old lady, after putting in her false teeth,
hearing aid and then her glasses, saying she has more spare parts than
her old Buick! Living memories they share with us; these are highlights
we will always cherish.

Glenda has been in health care for over 13 years and is a Texas registered CNA. We know
our residents are getting the care and love they need as we live in our home and we actually
do most of the care giving ourselves. When we need help our staff is qualified and available 24/7.
